Glasen Tekstilec, since 2017, has been working on affirming and recognizing the problems of workers and the violation of human and workers’ rights, as well as on raising the awareness of workers through education, debates, conferences, seminars and other activities, participation in the preparation of laws and other normative acts and regulations from the areas of interest of the association and the workers from the private sector, with emphasis on the textile, leather and shoe industry. Through the programs and projects implemented by Glasen Textilec, it is directly committed to the promotion of human rights, workers’ rights, access to justice for the marginalized, protection against discrimination, and equal pay for the same work done. The focus of the association is women’s rights, given that 90% of employees in the textile industry are women.
Glasen Textilec has implemented over 10 independent projects and several partner projects. Through the project activities, it strives for direct promotion of the rights of women textile workers, which by the way are human rights, guaranteed with the Constitution.
