Workers were among the social groups most affected by the crisis, particularly those employed in labor-intensive industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For many years, the <strong>Friedrich Ebert Foundation<\/strong> has worked to protect and promote workers&#039; rights and to advocate for decent working conditions that respect employees&#039; personal and professional integrity and dignity. To achieve these goals, the Foundation cooperates with governmental and non-governmental institutions, organizations and other stakeholders working in the field of labor rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of this cooperation, the <strong>Friedrich Ebert Foundation<\/strong>, together with <strong>Glasen Tekstilec<\/strong>, prepared the analysis <strong>\u201c&quot;The Impact of COVID-19 on Low-Paid and Labor-Intensive Branches.&quot;\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The analysis examines how the measures adopted by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia during the COVID-19 crisis affected workers, as well as cases of abuse by employers and examples of successful support provided to workers by Glasen Tekstilec. It also considers the broader economic effects of the government measures introduced in response to the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through this publication, we aim to contribute to greater awareness and recognition of the challenges faced by workers in the textile, leather and footwear industries.
