This Saturday was also a working one for us, we had a working meeting with Carin Jämtin, Director General of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), as well as representatives of Sida – Styrelsen för Internationellt Utvecklingssamarbete, the Ambassador of Sweden in Skopje (Embassy of Sweden in Skopje), representative of Olof Palmes International Center.
The working meeting was attended by employees of #GlasenTextilec, several textile workers from more cities from the region, who introduced the guests to the challenges and problems they face throughout the work process. Kristina Ampeva introduced the Delegation to the most common legal obstacles and problems that arise in the workplace, briefly explained to them about the court proceedings conducted by Glasen Tekstilec, the work of the institutions and access to justice in the country.
From 2017 to now, many things have changed, thanks to these collaborations, but there is still a lot of work to be done in the coming period to restore the reputation and show the bright side of the textile industry.
We look forward to every meeting that aims to advance the rights of private sector workers, with an emphasis on the textile, leather, and shoe industries.
We are especially grateful as an association for the support all these years from our partners from Sweden. ![]()
