A march to combat violence against women and girls was held in Shtip today as part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

Two representatives from the association were present at the march. #GlasenTextilec.

In joint cooperation with the Municipality of Shtip and Glasen Tekstilec, orange bags were made and balloons were delivered, carrying the message - STOP VIOLENCE!

Glasen Tekstilec, as an organization that has existed in Shtip since 2017 and operates at the national level, always emphasizes the need for greater awareness, support and respect for the rights of women, who, even in the 21st century, face physical and psychological violence, both at home and in the workplace.

We call on the authorities to remember this problem constantly, not only during these 16 days, but to enact greater rights, better laws, ratify conventions, and implement them in practice, in order to eliminate forms of violence against women.

As an association, we will especially emphasize the Labor Relations Law, but also the Mobbing Law, which is being passed without the involvement of those who are on the ground and treat these phenomena, but also provide first aid to women.

The campaign in Macedonia has been celebrated since 2014 and aims to raise social awareness and encourage reflection on the individual and collective contribution to the fight to prevent gender-based violence.
