Today, at the final conference within the framework of the project "Institutional and Economic Empowerment of Women and Girls from the Eastern Region", which is implemented by the association for the protection of workers' rights "Glasen Tekstilec" from Shtip, the implemented activities were presented, brief analysis with conclusions and recommendations regarding the work of the institutions responsible for the protection of workers' rights, the goals and achieved results of the project that the "Voice Textile" association implemented from December 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
The event was attended by the president of "Glasen Tekstilec", Kristina Ampeva, a representative from the State Labor Inspectorate, Lence Kocevska, a representative from the State Commission for Decision-making in the Second Instance in the Field of Inspection Supervision and Misdemeanor Procedure, Elizabeta Ruseska, and Ivana Vučkova as an engaged expert.
This project aimed to establish legal, institutional and economic empowerment of women and girls. Monitoring the work of the State Commission for Decision-making in the Second Instance in the Field of Inspection Supervision and Misdemeanor Procedure. It was more than important to investigate the institutional work of the services that are competent and decide on labor rights, including gender discrimination in the workplace, and to provide specific recommendations in order to improve the institutional response as a whole.
For the purposes of this document, the annual reports of this Commission from 2016 to 2020 were analyzed, as well as responses to our questionnaires by labor inspectors.
