Peer education # I Know My Labor Rights I Know My Power with high school students from Shtip, Vinica and Kocani
we started them last week. Educators from #GlasenTextilec
were introduced to the key components of the Labor Relations Law
: employment contracts
, rights of workers under 18 years of age
, mobbing
, discrimination in the workplace
and peer violence
.
The training was conducted by our lawyer Kristina Nedkova, MA – specialist in law in the field of criminal law. The second part of the training was dedicated to talks and discussions, where different concepts were clarified through examples. Then, the young trainers played a "Kahut" quiz
on the given topic as a test of knowledge. In the end, we had a conclusion, we saw the "tree of expectations"„
and we discussed whether everything was fulfilled during the workshop, as well as future goals related to the trainings
.
In the coming period, peer educators will transfer their knowledge throughout schools.
to their classmates, helping them learn about protection against discrimination
, mobbing and prevention of peer violence
, as well as with their obligations and rights during work.
The training is supported by the Olof Palme International Center and Sweden.
