The research by "Voice Textile" provides a picture of working conditions, wages and respect for workers' rights in the textile industry. The data shows serious challenges: 69.41% of respondents have been working in the sector for more than five years, 59.31% work around 50 hours a week, and around 701% do not receive overtime pay in accordance with legal provisions.. A significant portion of workers also face mobbing, discrimination, low income, and financial insecurity.
The analysis complements statistical data with authentic testimonies of textile workers and interviews with activists and organizations, raising questions about a living wage, union organizing, protection of workers' rights, and the need for a stronger institutional response.
