About the program

Long-term protection of workers' rights requires a strong, professional and sustainable organization. That is why we invest in the knowledge and skills of the team, members and volunteers, exchange experiences with partner organizations and develop systems that ensure continuity, transparency and financial stability. The program connects human capacities with organizational development, partnerships, volunteerism and diversification of sources of support.

To build a competent and motivated team and a sustainable organizational structure capable of responding to the needs of workers in a timely, professional and independent manner.

What are we doing?

Specific objective 1 – Human capacity development

  • Identification of training needs through surveys and interviews with employees and members.
  • Developing training programs covering topics such as labor law, advocacy, and communication skills.
  • Hiring experts and trainers with relevant experience.
  • Organizing training in the form of workshops, seminars or online sessions.
  • Planning study visits in the country and abroad for the exchange of experiences and good practices.
  • Collaboration with partner organizations to organize visits.
  • Preparing an agenda and objectives for each visit.
  • Evaluation of acquired knowledge and its application in the work of the organization.
  • Active participation in national and international networks and coalitions.
  • Organizing joint events, conferences and workshops.
  • Sharing successful practices and challenges with other organizations.
  • Developing joint projects and initiatives.
  • Identification of necessary materials and resources related to workers' rights.
  • Procurement of books, manuals and other relevant publications.
  • Cataloguing and digitization of the library collection.
  • Providing access to the library for employees, members, and the interested public.
  • Monitoring training and coaching offers from relevant organizations and institutions.
  • Registration and participation of employees and members of the organization.
  • Sharing acquired knowledge and experiences with other members.
  • Applying new knowledge in the daily work of the organization.

Specific objective 2 – Glasen Tekstilec is a sustainable organization

  • Defining the roles and responsibilities of youth volunteers, including a description of tasks and expectations.
  • Developing a training and orientation program that includes topics such as labor rights, communication skills, and teamwork.
  • Establishing a mentoring system where experienced members of the organization will support new volunteers.
  • Organizing regular meetings and activities to build team spirit and strengthen volunteer engagement.
  • Analysis of current funding sources and identification of potential new donors and sponsors.
  • Setting clear and measurable fundraising goals within a specific time period.
  • Developing a communication plan that includes stories about the organization's impact, using social media and other channels to engage donors.
  • Establish a program for regular donations, such as monthly or annual contributions from supporters.
  • Defining the campaign theme and message that will inspire donors to contribute.
  • Creating visual and text materials to promote the campaign through various channels, including social media, email, and events.
  • Organizing special events or fundraising activities, such as charity dinners, auctions or sporting events.
  • Monitoring and evaluating campaign results, including the number of donors, funds raised, and reach achieved.
  • Identification of relevant platforms and sources of information for grant calls, such as national and international foundations, government agencies and other donors.
  • Establish a calendar to track application deadlines and required documentation for each call.
  • Development of templates and procedures for the quick and efficient preparation of grant applications.
  • Training the team to recognize appropriate calls and prepare competitive applications.
  • Development of clear and measurable goals and activities for each project, in accordance with donor requirements.
  • Preparation of detailed budgets and timelines for project implementation.
  • Gathering the necessary documentation, including letters of support, certificates, and other relevant documents.
  • Review and edit applications to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with donor criteria.
  • Identification of organizations with similar goals and values for potential collaboration.
  • Defining the roles and responsibilities of each partner within joint projects.
  • Coordination in the preparation of applications, including sharing of information, resources and expertise.
  • Establishing mechanisms for communication and monitoring the progress of joint initiatives.
